EMORY, Va. – The Washington and Lee University Men's Basketball Team (15-4, 7-3 ODAC) connected on 18 three-point field goals on its way to a 100-87 win at Emory & Henry College (4-15, 1-9 ODAC) Wednesday evening in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.

How It Happened
- The two squads traded buckets to an 11-10 W&L lead at the 15:51 mark of the opening half. The Generals scored seven in a row to go up, 18-10, but a 10-3 run by the Wasps closed the gap to 21-20.
- Washington and Lee would score 11 of the next 12 points and led by as much at 15 (49-34) on the way to a 39-51 halftime score.
- The Generals scored eight of the first 10 points of the second half to push their margin to 59-41, but the Wasps responded with a 12-2 run to trim the deficit to single digits (61-53) with 14:38 on the clock.
- W&L went up by 19 midway through the period before E&H got within 10 with 8:40 to play. The teams went back-and-forth for the remainder of the contest with Washington and Lee coming away with the 13-point victory.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Senior guard Colin Molden (Apex, N.C.) posted a team-high 25 points and added five rebounds and two assists while sophomore guard Micah Banks (Simpsonville, S.C.) had 22 points, four boards, three assists and two steals.
- Freshman guard Kevin Grau Rodriguez (Tampa, Fla.) had 11 points off the bench while sophomore guard Jordan Grant (Orlando, Fla.) added 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
- Sophomore forward Anthony Williams (Lynchburg, Va.) had seven points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Washington and Lee Individual Leaders
- Kevin Dennin put up 25 points, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc while Richie Manigault had 19 points and seven rebounds with four makes from long range.
- William Brueggeman finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and three steals while Curtis Mitchell and Tevin Panchal had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry 32-of-72 (44.4%) of its shots but struggled from long range (7-of-27). The Wasps went 16-of-24 (66.7%) at the free throw line.
- Washington and Lee made 45.8 percent (33-of-72) of its field goals and connected on 18-of-40 (45%) of its triples. The Generals also scored 16 points (72.7%) at the charity stripe.
- E&H held a 44-26 lead on points in the paint while rebounding, points off turnovers, and second-chance points were nearly identical for both squads.
