Brown led E&H and was tied for fifth in the conference in scoring with 15.6 points per game. He also led the squad and ranked 13th in the league in three-point field goal percentage (41.1%), and his 5.3 rebounds per game placed him second on the team and 21st amongst the conference leaders.

Brown reached double-digits in scoring in 19 of the Wasps' 28 games during the season, including eclipsing the 20-point margin on eight different occasions. He posted a season-high 27 points in the season opener against Bluefield State University (Nov. 12) and had double-doubles versus Wingate University (Jan. 21) and the University of Virginia's College at Wise (Feb. 15). He was also selected to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Emory & Henry posted a 15-13 mark on the year with a 6-12 record in conference play. The Wasps finished sixth in the SAC Mountain Division and tied for ninth overall in the league after being picked 13th in the preseason poll.

UVA Wise's Bradley Dean was chosen as SAC Player of the Year while the league's defensive player of the year award went to Bryant Thomas of Carson-Newman University.
