Lincoln Memorial Men's Basketball Rolls Past Emory & Henry, 93-67, Wednesday Night

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Basketball Team (5-17, 2-12 SAC) fell in South Atlantic Conference play to Lincoln Memorial University (16-6, 10-3 SAC) on the road Wednesday evening. The Railsplitters led the entire way as they rolled to a big 93-67 victory over the Wasps.

How It Happened
- The Railsplitters stepped onto the court ready to play as they scored 20 of the first 23 points to establish an early lead. LMU pushed its advantage out to as many as 33 in the opening half as they shot 63% from the field and knocked down seven shots from behind the three-point arc to take a 54-26 lead into halftime.
- It was more of the same in the second stanza as the Wasps never got within 25 of the home team as LMU cruised to the 26-point victory.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Sophomore guard Omari Curley (Prince George, Va.) paced the Wasps with 17 points, six rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot. Sophomore forward Jacob Dar (Omaha, Neb.) added 18 points, four rebounds and four blocks.
- Junior forward Cade Looney (Grundy, Va.) posted ten points, three rebounds and an assist off of the bench for the Wasps.

Lincoln Memorial Individual Leaders
- Martez Brown had a game-high 22 points, 17 rebounds, three steals and two assists while Jordan Walters added 16 points, two assists, one rebound and a blocked shot.
- Wes Enis finished with 13 points, two assists and a rebound and Chase Rankin had ten points, eight rebounds and four assists.

A Deeper Look
- Emory & Henry shot 28.1 percent (18-for-64) for the game with four made three-pointers (20.0%). The Wasps went 27-for-35 (77.1%) at the free throw line.
- Lincoln Memorial converted 35-of-62 (56.5%) of its field goal attempts, connecting on nine triples for 39.1% from behind the three-point stripe. The Railsplitters knocked down 70.0 percent (14-of-20) of their free throws.
- The home team outrebounded the Wasps by a 44-36 margin, but E&H owned a 15-9 advantage on the offensive glass.
- LMU pounded the ball inside, doubling up the Wasps by a 52-26 margin.
