Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Finishes 11th At 2021 ODAC Championship

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team concluded the 2020-21 season on Monday with an 11th place finish at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships. The event was held at The Champions Course at Bryan Park.

Originally scheduled for two rounds on Sunday and one round Monday, course conditions dictated that the second round be split between Sunday and Monday.

Round One - Sunday
- Senior Christofer Schaff (Elizabethton, Tenn.) led the Wasps with a 77 (+5) to sit tied for 18th through the opening third of the event. Senior Wesley Jones (Seymour, Tenn.) shot a +12 (84) while senior Isfandyar Khan (Lahore, PAKISTAN) carded a +13 (85) to take 41st and 42nd, respectively.
- Junior Alex Cameron (Mascot, Tenn.) was 56th after a round of 95 (+23) while junior Roger McClanahan (Mavisdale, Va.) was 57th at +25 (97).

Round Two – Sunday/Monday
- Jones shaved five strokes off his first round score to post a 79 (+7), moving up seven spots to be tied for 34th while Schaff dropped to 36th overall with a second round of 87 (+15).
- Khan went for a 98 which was good for 54th while McClanahan (56th) and Cameron (57th) swapped places after rounds of 93 and 96, respectively.

Round Three – Monday
- Schaff shot an 81 (+9) in Monday's final round to finish in a three-way tie for 35th (+29), joined by Jones who carded an 82 (+10).
- Khan finished with his best round of the tournament, shooting an 82 (+10) to finish 53rd overall (+49) while McClanahan put up an 82 of his own to take 55th (+56).
- Cameron went for an 87 (+15) in the final round of the event, finishing 57th at +62.

The Winners
- No. 1 nationally-ranked Guilford College won the ODAC title, with a team score of +20 (884), defeating No. 24 Hampden-Sydney College by two strokes (+22; 886). No. 21 Washington and Lee University was another 11 strokes back in third.
- HSC's Hunter Martin, the 65th-ranked individual in Division III grabbed medalist honors, scoring a -5 to par over the 54-holes edging No. 2 James Mishoe of Guilford College by one stroke (-4). W&L's Pierce Robinson (No. 14 in Division III) carded a +6 for the tournament to take third.
