Emory & Henry Men's Golf Finishes 13th At Deercroft Spring Break Invitational

WAGRAM, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team finished 13th at the Deercroft Spring Break Invitational, hosted by St. Andrews University on Tuesday.

Day One - Monday
Freshman Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) led the team with a round of 80 (+8) while freshman Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) was second after carding a +11 (83).

Sophomore Jason Hall (Dublin, Va.) turned in an 86 (+14) as freshman Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) posted an 89 (+17) and freshman Trent Gehringer (Fleetwood, Pa.) posted a 93 (+21).

Day Two – Tuesday
Ojeda and Boone both finished tied for 33rd as Ojeda shot a +8 (80) and Boone went for an 83 (+11). Huangching shot 89 (+17) for the second day in a row, finishing tied for 60th while Gehringer had a +26 (98) as he ended the event tied for 69th.

The Winners
Juan Lopez-Louro of St. Andrews won the tournament at even par, leading the Knights to the team title at +29.

Fayetteville State University's Brandon Jones was one shot back at +1 as the individual runner-up. Montreat College finished second as a team at +50.

Emory & Henry will hold its annual Blue & Gold Intrasquad on Sunday, April 3 at Glenrochie Country Club in Abingdon.
