Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Sits Fifth After Two Rounds At Richard Rendleman Invitational Monday

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team is in fifth place following 36 holes of action at the Richard Rendleman Invitational on Monday. The tournament, hosted by Catawba College, is being held at The Country Club of Salisbury.

Round One
Junior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) shot a +1 (72) on Monday morning to tie for third place while senior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) and sophomore Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) each notched a 74 (+3) to tie for fifth.

Sophomore Jordan Kuang Kyaw's (Yangon, MYANMAR) round of 75 (+4) placed him tied for 11th while freshman Sam Fansler (Moneta, Va.) sat at +6 (78) tied for 16th.

Round Two
Ojeda carded a 73 (+2) to finish the day tied for fifth. Kuang Kyaw posted a 76 (+5), falling three places into a tie for 14th.

Alexander and Aliff both went for a +8 (79) and are tied for 19th place while Fansler notched a round of 82 (+11) and is 26th.

The Leaders
Logan Atkins of Fayetteville State University leads the field by five strokes with two rounds in the 60s (69-68 – 137) to sit at -5. Catawba's Chad Coburn and UVA Wise's Tzu-Wei Huang are tied for second at even par (142).

FSU is also atop the team leaderboard at +12 (292-288 – 580), five shots clear of second-place Catawba at +17 (299-286 – 585).
