Emory & Henry Men’s Golf Finishes 12th At SAC Championships Tuesday

ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Golf Team concluded the South Atlantic Conference Championship with a 12th-place finish on Tuesday. The tournament is being hosted by Newberry College at Orangeburg Country Club in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Round Three
Junior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) shot a +4 (74) to finish in a four-way tie for 29th place at +14 (78-72-74 – 224). Senior Avery Alexander (Christiansburg, Va.) carded an 81 (+11) to end the event at 52nd, 26 strokes over par (78-77-81 – 236).

Junior Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) turned in an 86 (+16) to remain in 62nd place at +52 (88-88-82-262) for the tournament as junior Trent Gehringer (Fleetwood, Pa.) completed the championship in 63rd place at +54 (92-88-84 – 264). Junior Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) shot a 98 to finish 65th at +96 (102-106-98 – 306).

The Leaders
Lincoln Memorial University won the team title by 10 strokes at +15 to par (295-280-280 – 855) with back-to-back even-par rounds. Coker University was second at +25 while Anderson (S.C.) University finished third (+30).

Coker's Caleb Tidd shot +1 for the tournament (68-72-71 – 211) needing a playoff hole to decide medalist honors between himself and teammate Jonathan Hallinger. Limestone's Kristoffer Larsson was third at +2.
