
SNOWSHOE, W.Va. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Golf Team is in sixth place out of 15 teams following day one of the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational. Davis & Elkins College is hosting the 54-hole event at Raven Golf Club at Snowshoe Resort.

Round One
Senior Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) shot a +2 (74) which was good for a tie for 10th place while junior Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) carded a +4 (76) to sit in a tie for 20th.
Senior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) posted a 77 (+5) and was tied for 29th while sophomore Ryne Bond (Floyd, Va.) was tied for 46th at +8 (80). Sophomore Brice Reichard (Amherst, Va.) shot a +9 (81) which had him tied for 52nd.
Round Two
Aliff moved up 13 spots after firing a -1 (71) in the second round to seventh place while Huangching fell into a tie for 16th with his +5 (77). Ojeda climbed into a tie for 25th with a round of 76 (+4).
Reichard and Bond are tied for 42nd as Reichard shot a +6 (78) and Bond carded a +7 (79) in the afternoon round.
The Leaders
University of Charleston (W.Va.) is the top team at +11 (297-290 – 587) and is five strokes ahead of host Davis & Elkins (293-299 – 592). E&H shot a 609 (307-302) to sit at +38 as a team.
