
BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Golf Team finished in a tie for fifth place out of 12 teams at the King University Invitational on Tuesday. The tournament was held at the Golf Club of Bristol. For the second day in a row, the Wasps posted the third-best raw team score at 283 (+3).
E&H's two-day team score of +7 (567) is the second-best 36-hole tournament score both for raw score and score to par in program history.

Emory & Henry
Freshman Will Watson (Abingdon, Va.) and junior Jordan Kaung Kyaw (Yangon, MYANMAR) both turned in rounds of -1 (69) on Tuesday. Watson finished the tournament at -1 (70-69 – 139), moving up six spots into a tie for 12th while Kyaw jumped 17 places to tie for 19th at +2 (73-69 – 142).
Junior Slade Aliff (Hardy, Va.) shot a +2 (72) to finish tied for 19th (70-72 – 142). Senior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) carded a +3 (73) to complete the tournament at +5 (72-73 – 145), tying for 30th. Senior Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) tied for 36th at +6 (72-74 – 146).
The Winners
Jacob King from Chowan posted the low round of the tournament with a -6 (64) on Tuesday to jump 25 places into a tie for first place with Aasmund Norum from King at -5 (135). King was crowned the individual medalist based on a scorecard playoff.
King University and Tusculum University tied for the team championship at -9 (551). The Tornado and Pioneers turned in identical scores of 273 on Monday and 278 on Tuesday. University of Texas – Dallas was the third-place team at even par.
