
TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Golf Team kept its spring season rolling on Monday and Tuesday at the Trailblazer Spring Invitational, hosted by North Greenville University. The Wasps finished fifth out of the event's 11 competing teams.

Round One
Sophomore Brice Reichard (Amherst, Va.) posted a +5 (77) on Monday to lead the Wasps as he sat tied for 11th.
Seniors Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA), Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) and Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) were all part of a seven-way tie for 13th place at 78 (+6) while senior Trent Gehringer (Fleetwood, Pa.) turned in a 93 (+21) to tie for 54th.
Round Two
Reichard moved up four spots into a tie for 7th as he carded a 76 (+4) on Tuesday to finish the tournament at +9 while Huangching finished tied for 11th at +12 after a second round of 78 (+6).
Ojeda posted an 81 (+9) in the second round to finish the event tied for 19th at +15 as Boone posted an 87 (+15) to fall into a tie for 34th at +21. Gehringer shot a 94 (+22) to finish in 56th place at +43.
The Winners
Palm Beach Atlantic University was the top team at +25 (299-302 – 601) topping host North Greenville by 18 shots (+25).
PBA's Justus Verge won the individual title by eight strokes with a pair of under-par rounds as he shot a -5 (70-69 – 139). Francisco DeBethancourt from Milligan University was the runner up a +3 (76-71 – 147).

Emory & Henry will return to the course next Monday and Tuesday when it competes in the Cleveland State Invitational in Ooltewah, Tennessee. The tournament will take place at The Ooltewah Club.
