
OOLTEWAH, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Golf Team returned to action on Sunday at the Cleveland State Invitational at The Ooltewah Club in Ooltewah, Tennessee. The Wasps finished sixth out of the field of 12 teams as the tournament was shortened to 18 holes due to weather.

Round One
Sophomore Brice Reichard (Amherst, Va.) shot a +1 (70) which was good for a tie for seventh place while senior Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) was two strokes behind at 72 (+3) in a tie for 16th.
Senior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) tied for 21st, carding a +4 (73) as senior Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) turned in a +6 (75) to tie for 35th. Senior Trent Gehringer (Fleetwood, Pa.) finished 62nd with a score of +15 (84).
The Winners
Walters State Community College won the event with an even-par score of 276. Georgia Military College was the team runner-up at +10 (286).
Bowen Brantley of Walters State and Tripp Hall from Roane State Community College tied for medalist honors as both shot a -2 (67).
Up Next
Emory & Henry will close out the season at the South Atlantic Conference Championships on April 13-15. The three-day, 54-hole event will take place at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, South Carolina.
