Emory & Henry Men’s Lacrosse Selected 11th In SAC Coaches Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Lacrosse Team has been picked to finish 11th in the South Atlantic Conference this year by the league's head coaches. The poll was released by the SAC office on Thursday.

The 2025 season is the inaugural campaign in program history as the Wasps embark on their first foray in a SAC that is full of perennial national championship contenders. 

Lenoir-Rhyne University, the reigning SAC Tournament Champion and National Runner-Up is first in the poll with seven of 11 first-place votes. Defending SAC Regular Season Champion Limestone University sits in second with the other four first-place nods while Wingate University is in third. Newberry College is fourth and Anderson (S.C.) University rounds out the top five.

Catawba College has been selected to finish sixth while Coker University is seventh and Lincoln Memorial University sits in eighth. Mars Hill University, Tusculum University and Emory & Henry round out the voting in ninth, 10th and 11th respectively.  

Additionally the SAC has named its Preseason All-Conference Teams and Players to Watch List with freshman midfielder David Mewes (Greenville, S.C.) and freshman defenseman Kyle Dyott (Easton, Md.) making the list for the Wasps. 

Emory & Henry gets the season underway Saturday, February 1 on the road at Virginia State University.
