HAMPDEN SYDNEY, Va. – The Hampden-Sydney College Men's Soccer Team (5-3-2, 2-1-1 ODAC) picked up a 6-0 victory over visiting Emory & Henry College (1-10, 0-4 ODAC) Friday afternoon in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
The Tigers got on the board with a trio of goals in the first half. Davis Carter, Bryan Talbert and Leo Kowalksi each scored goals in the first 45 minutes of the match to give Hampden-Sydney a 3-0 lead.
HSC kept things going in the second half adding another trio of goals as Davis Carter, Kurt Anderson and Bryce Jones scored.
Hampden-Sydney outshot Emory & Henry by a 27-8 and held a 14-4 advantage on shots on goal. E&H freshman goalkeeper Joe Kedanis (Carmel, Ind.) had eight saves in the contest while Cameron McFarlane notched four saves.
Emory & Henry will return to the pitch on Monday when it hosts Covenant College at Fred Selfe Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
