Last season, Emory & Henry posted a 6-12 record. Five of the Wasps' losses including four league setbacks, came by two goals or less. E&H earned a pair of wins over Hiwassee College and also defeated Penn State University-York, University of Valley Forge, Warren Wilson College and Johnson University.

The team will rely on the senior leadership of defenders Massimo Tager (Asheville, N.C.) and Peyton Williams (Christiansburg, Va.) and goalkeeper Morgan Moser (Sweetwater, Tenn.) while sophomores Jonathan Hoyte (Chesapeake, Va.) and Jeff Hurlock (Fredericksburg, Va.) are the leading returners on the offensive end with three goals and an assist each in 2018.

Washington and Lee University earned nine of the 13 first-place votes and is picked to repeat as ODAC Champion after winning its first title in 21 years last fall. University of Lynchburg is second with three top nods, just six points off of first. Roanoke College sits in third while 2018 runner-up Bridgewatwer College is fourth with the final first-place vote.

Emory & Henry will open the season on Friday, August 30 against Anderson (Ind.) University in the Raven/Quaker Classic at 3:00 p.m. The Wasps will complete the weekend against the Quakers of Earlham College on Saturday.
