ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson (S.C.) University Men's Soccer Team (3-3-1, 2-1-1 SAC) scored three times in the first half and added one more in the second as they defeated Emory & Henry College (0-8, 0-5 SAC) 4-0 in South Atlantic Conference play Saturday.

How It Happened
- The Trojans broke through on the scoreboard first in the 14th minute on a goal from Ivan Cardona, assisted by Elian Munoz. Anderson added to its lead 15 minutes later when Diego Jaramillo found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game. Cardona tallied his second goal in the 41st minute, this time the assist came from the foot of Pol Elias and the halftime score stood at 3-0.
- Both teams were held scoreless through the opening 30 minutes of play in the second half until Cardona completed his hat trick with a goal in the 77th minute to push the margin to 4-0.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Fifth-year forward Nino Egli (Maseltrangen, SWITZERLAND) and freshman midfielder Tin Zymelka (Frankfurt, GERMANY) had a pair of shots each to lead the Wasps.
- Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jimmy Duquette (Kingsport, Tenn.) made six stops in net.
Anderson (S.C.) Individual Leaders
- Cardona led the way for the Trojans with his trio of goals. Jaramillo added one goal on a pair of shots while Elias and Munoz finished with an assist each.
- Franco Antoniolli Funes recorded a pair of saves in the winning effort.

- Emory & Henry returns to Fred Selfe Stadium on Wednesday, October 4 when they play host to Lenoir-Rhyne University. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. as game one of a SAC doubleheader with the women's team.
