Bob Jones Men’s Soccer Downs Emory & Henry, 5-1, Saturday Night

GREENVILLE, S.C. The Bob Jones University Men's Soccer Team (7-3-1) built a 2-1 halftime lead as it picked up a 5-1 victory against visiting Emory & Henry College (0-10) Saturday in cross-divisional action.

How It Happened
- The Bruins got the scoring started at the 10:06 mark when Hodari Twishime served up a ball that Mario Figueroa put in the back of the net. BJU doubled their advantage late in the 39th minute as Ian Arendse put his name in the scoring column.
- Emory & Henry got on the board with 22 seconds to go before the intermission as sophomore midfielder Yossi Burch (Knoxville, Tenn.) took advantage of a misplayed clearance by the Bob Jones defense and converted for a 2-1 halftime margin.
- Just after the hour mark, Charly Gualajara pushed the BJU advantage to 3-1 and added another goal seven minutes later (67:51). Bryce Ramler capped the scoring for the Bruins in the 83rd minute for the final 5-1 score.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Burch scored on his only attempt of the contest while junior forward Beh Reh (Mae Hong Song, THAILAND) tallied a pair of shots on goal.
- Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jimmy Duquette (Kingsport, Tenn.) posted seven saves despite the loss.

Bob Jones Individual Leaders
- Gualajara scored twice on four shots while Ashere Aurednik put up a match-high seven shots.
- Cameron Braswell made four saves in 85 minutes of work while Zach Burk closed out the final five minutes of the match.

Emory & Henry remains on the road Wednesday when it visits Tusculum University for a South Atlantic Conference matchup at 7:30 p.m. The contest will be the second half of a doubleheader with the Wasps' and Pioneers' women's teams.
