EMORY, Va. – The Catawba College Men's Soccer Team (9-4-2, 5-3-1 SAC) scored five goals in the second half on its way to a 6-0 win over Emory & Henry College (0-14, 0-10 SAC) Saturday in South Atlantic Conference play.
The contest served as Senior Day for the Wasps who honored seniors Gavin Bagwell (Abingdon, Va.), Brandon Brito (Spotsylvania, Va.), Nino Egli (Maseltrangen, SWITZERLAND) and Greg Ona Vera (Charlotte, N.C.) prior to kickoff.

How It Happened
- The Catawba Indians got on the board just 2:16 into the contest as Joe Bennett took a pass from Sebastia Cerda-Tous and put it in the back of the net. The two squads battled through the remainder of the half with neither able to do any further damage on the scoreboard.
- Coming out of the intermission, Catawba was again on the front foot, as Steven Lozano scored just 5:06 into the half. The Indians added another goal just after the hour mark (61:05) to push the margin to 3-0 as Cerda-Tous was assisted by John Schachinger.
- Sioni Benham scored the first of his two goals of the contest at the in the 67th minute and again found the back of the net at the 73:16 mark assisted by Kheynne Ona-Vera. The Indians capped the scoring at 6-0 just 34 seconds later with Ona-Vera serving up a pass for Juan Pablo Nicoletti to put past the keeper.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior forward Cesar Tobar Monge, Jr. (Charlotte, N.C.) had two shots with one going on target while junior midfielder Beh Reh (Mae Hong Song, THAILAND) adding another two attempts.
- Goalkeepers Josiah Wilson (Cleveland, Va.) and Jimmy Duquette (Kingsport, Tenn.) combined for seven saves.
Catawba Individual Leaders
- Benham scored his two goals on seven attempts while Nicoletti notched his goal on five shots. Cerda-Tous had a goal and an assist while Ona-Vera went for two assists.
- Nick Allen earned the shutout, making one save over the 90-minute contest.

- Emory & Henry closes out the season on Wednesday, hosting Lincoln Memorial University in a SAC doubleheader. The men's match will be at 7:30 p.m., following the 5:00 p.m. women's contest.
