Lincoln Memorial Men’s Soccer Wins, 6-0, Over Emory & Henry In Regular Season Finale Wednesday

EMORY, Va. The Lincoln Memorial University Men's Soccer Team (10-3-3, 6-3-2 SAC) closed out the regular season with a 6-0 win against Emory & Henry College (0-15, 0-11 SAC) Wednesday night.

How It Happened
- The Railsplitters got on the board late in the 14th minute as Daniel Burko took a long pass from Jesper Disen and struck it into the back of the net. Just under eight minutes later, Burko struck paydirt a second time assisted by Pablo Herrera.
- Just after the hour mark, Arkin Ulusoy notched a pair in the 32nd and 33rd minutes to push the advantage to 4-0. His first goal was unassisted while Burko found himself in the giving mood to provide the help for Ulusoy's second.
- LMU made a 5-0 contest at the half when Leandro Dos Santos Haesler scored with 3:46 to go before the intermission.
- The second half saw Emory & Henry earn more possession and get a few chances of its own but Lincoln Memorial's defense held strong. The Railsplitters capped the scoring late in the 84th minute when Hunter Oubre set up Emir Basar inside the box.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
- Junior defender Daniel Martinez-Flores (San Pedro Sula, HONDURAS) tallied the Wasps' lone shot on target while junior forward Clarence Russell (Suffolk, Va.) and junior midfielder Beh Reh (Mae Hong Song, THAILAND) also had chances.
- Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jimmy Duquette (Kingsport, Tenn.) made seven saves despite the loss.

Lincoln Memorial Individual Leaders
- Burko led all players, scoring two goals and adding an assist with five shots including four which went on target. Ulusoy posted a pair of scores of his own.
- Daniel Benedek Meklosi and Max Keller combined for the shutout as Keller made a save during the second 45 minutes.
