How It Happened
Limestone held a 9-0 lead on shots in the opening 45 minutes and put four attempts on target. The Saints had their first chance early in the sixth minute and challenged again 30 minutes into the game, but the E&H defense held strong and repelled each attack to send the contest into the intermission scoreless.
The second half began much like the first ended. Limestone had three chances in the span of two minutes just before the hour mark but the Wasps continued to turn away the Saints' assault.
As the minutes ticked down, it appeared that the Wasps were going to pull off the upset and make Limestone settle for a draw.
