SALISBURY, N.C. – The Catawba College Men's Soccer Team ( 4-3-5, 3-2-3 SAC) scored twice in the span of two minutes to post a 2-0 win over Emory & Henry University (0-9-1, 0-7 SAC) Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.

How It Happened
The Catawba Indians held a 11-0 lead on shots in the opening half but were unable to break through despite nine corner kick opportunities.
Catawba finally broke through in the 66th minute as Bautista Vecchi-Ramello found the back of the net, assisted by Greg Chatzopoulos.
Less that two minutes later the Catawba Indians made it a 2-0 contest with Salano Birch crossing a ball in for Tino Lara to send home.
Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
Emory & Henry managed just two shots on goal on the afternoon with sophomore midfielder Gabe Franco (Charlotte, N.C.) and sophomore forward Josiah Garrett (Charlotte, N.C.) making attempts.
Freshman Emilio Hernandez-Araujo (Pineville, N.C.) made 11 saves on the afternoon.
Catawba Individual Leaders
Sebastia Cerda-Tous led all players with seven shots, putting a pair on target while Vecchi-Ramello scored his goal on five attempts.
Zak Stiffler made a pair of saves, earning the shutout in goal.

E&H remains on the road on Wednesday when it visits Mars Hill University at 7:30 p.m. The contest was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 28 but was postponed due to Hurricane Helene.
