EMORY, Va. – The Newberry College Men's Soccer Team (4-7-1, 3-5-1 SAC) scored twice in each half on its way to a 4-0 South Atlantic Conference win over Emory & Henry University (0-11-1, 0-9 SAC) Sunday afternoon.

How It Happened
   The Wolves got on the board early in the fourth minute when Josh Momodu executed a perfect throw-in to find Harry McDonnell inside the box. McDonnell put a shot past the keeper for the 1-0 lead.
   Newberry made it a 2-0 contest at the half thanks to a goal at the 36:04 mark of the contest. Momodu and McDonnell linked up again this time on a recycled ball off a corner kick.
   With just under 20 minutes remaining the Wolves got a turnover in E&H's defensive third. Alex Lopez beat the final defenders and slotted the ball into the back of the net for a 3-0 advantage.
   Newberry closed out the scoring with 4:30 to play as Henok Awoke played a ball across the box for Ethan Orozco to put in the back of the net.

Emory & Henry Individual Leaders
   Sophomore Grayson Cunningham (Kingsport, Tenn.) had a pair of shots on goal to lead E&H while sophomores Gabe Franco (Charlotte, N.C.) and Ethan Hayes (Williamsburg, Va.) as well as freshman Christian Russell (Seaford, Va.) each had one shot on target.
   Freshman Emilio Hernandez-Araujo (Pineville, N.C.) and sophomore Josiah Wilson (Cleveland, Va.) split time in goal. Hernandez made three saves in the opening 39 minutes of play.

Newberry Individual Leaders
   McDonnell scored his two goals on five shots while Lopez also had five attempts on the day to score his goal. Orozco finished with a goal on four shots while Momadu added a pair of assists.
   Jacob Cotton made five saves as he picked up the shutout for the Wolves.

Up Next
   E&H will play its final home match of the season on Wednesday, hosting Concord University at 5:00 p.m. The Wasps will also celebrate Senior Day as part of the contest.
