King Men’s & Women’s Swimming Take Down Emory & Henry Friday Night

EMORY, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Swimming Teams returned to action on Friday evening, hosting NCAA Division II King (Tenn.) University at the Emory & Henry Aquatics Center. The Tornado men earned a 129-34 victory while the King women prevailed, 120-49.

The Men
- E&H senior Logan Smith (Knoxville, Tenn.) earned a pair of second-place finishes going 2:41.98 in the 200-meter butterfly and 4:53.03 in the 400-meter freestyle.
- Sophomore Ryan Spangler (Daleville, Va.) was second in the 100-meter freestyle (1:02.37) and the 200-meter breaststroke (3:01.01) and took third win a swim of 2:18.24 in the 200-meter freestyle.
- Junior Blake Madaris (Acworth, Ga.) was second in the 800-meter freestyle, stopping the watches in 10:54.60 and also claimed second in the 200-meter backstroke (2:37.81). He was third in the 200-meter individual medley with a performance of 2:48.05.

The Women
- Freshman Emy Youmans (Columbia, S.C.) took first in the 50-meter freestyle, touching the wall in :29.24. She also finished second in the 100-free with a time of 1:04.34.
- Junior Cat Sweigart (Bridgewater, Va.) was second in the 200-meter individual medley (2:46.16) and the 200-meter breaststroke (2:57.94).
- Freshman Liah Davis (Vinton, Va.) posted a pair of second-place finishes as well, going 2:59.03 in the 200-meter butterfly and 2:53.77 in the 200-meter backstroke.
