KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Swimming Team got the 2023-24 season started over the weekend, earning a fourth-place finish at the King Invitational. The event was hosted by King (Tenn.) University at the Kingsport Aquatic Center as a two-day, three-session, timed-finals event.

Saturday
- Event 2 – 200-Yard Freestyle Relay – E&H opened the meet with a third-place finish on the efforts of junior Corey Kidd (Stockbridge, Ga.), freshmen Noah Day (Milton, Fla.) and Brady Jones (Bluefield, Va.), and sophomore Owen Seymour (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) as they covered the distance in 1:27.49. E&H's "B" relay was 12th (1:35.49).
- Event 4 – 500-Yard Freestyle – Junior Payton Nabors (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was 14th, swimming a 5:18.18.
- Event 6 – 200-Yard Individual Medley – Sophomore Caleb Patton (Marion, Va.) and freshman Peter Davis (Manassas, Va.) finished 19th and 23rd, respectively.
- Event 8 – 50-Yard Freestyle – Kidd was third, stopping the watches in :21.68 as Seymour (11th) and Day (13th) finished at :22.26 and :22.31. Jones, junior Kyle Berry (Ringgold, Ga.) and freshman Daniel Snapp (Charlotte, N.C.) took 27th, 35th and 37th while freshman Lucas Cheuvront (Newport News, Va.) and freshman Alexander Hubbard (Davidson, N.C.) were 45th and 48th.
- Event 10 – 1,650-Yard Freestyle – Sophomore Jordan Krafft (Waxhaw, N.C.) placed eighth with a time of 19:24.59.
- Event 12 – 200-Yard Medley Relay – Seymour, Patton, Day and Jones placed eighth, posting a time of 1:43.79 while the "B" relay was 14th.
- Event 14 – 100-Yard Butterfly – Day and freshman Ryan Teuton (Chattanooga, Tenn.) were 10th (:54.41) and 11th (:54.53), respectively as Nabors took 15th at :56.61. Berry placed 17th, Snapp tied for 26th and Jones was 29th.
- Event 16 – 200-Yard Breaststroke – Patton claimed eighth place with a swim of 2:24.36 as Krafft and Hubbard were 14th and 16th, respectively (2:44.81; 2:49.35).
- Event 18 – 100-Yard Individual Medley – Berry finished 16th, touching the wall in :58.99.
- Event 20 – 200-Yard Freestyle – Teuton tied for 12th place at 1:51.19 as Kidd was 14th (1:51.37) and Day was 15th (1:51.39). Snapp, Jones and Cheuvront were 27th, 30th and 34th respectively.
- Event 22 – 200-Yard Backstroke – Seymour posted a 10th-place finish in 2:13.71 while Nabors was 13th (2:15.70).
- Event 24 – 400-Yard Medley Relay – Seymour, Patton, Kidd and Jones took 11th with a time of 3:50.65 with the "B" relay placing 13th.

Sunday
- Event 26 – 400-Yard Individual Medley – Patton was eighth at 4:36.86 with Nabors (11th) and Krafft (14th) completing the event in 4:43.65 and 5:04.25.
- Event 28 – 100-Yard Backstroke – Kidd was the runner-up with a time of :54.22 as Seymour took fifth (:55.36). Teuton and Berry were eighth (:55.64) and ninth (:56.62), respectively.
- Event 30 – 100-Yard Breaststroke – Snapp, Davis and Patton claimed the 14th through 16th spots with times of 1:05.89, 1:06.33 and 1:07.35. Hubbard placed 18th.
- Event 32 – 200-Yard Butterfly – Day claimed fifth place at 2:03.13 with Krafft finishing 10th at 2:26.96.
- Event 34 – 100-Yard Freestyle – Kidd posted another second-place finish at :47.64 as Seymour was seventh (:49.02) and Day was 12th (:50.54). Jones (23rd), Davis (28th), Cheuvront (31st) and Hubbard (32nd) also competed.
- Event 36 – 400-Yard Freestyle Relay – Day, Teuton, Davis and Kidd placed sixth in 3:22.09 while the Wasps' "B" relay was ninth.
