SALISBURY, N.C./MARS HILL, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Swimming Teams kept the season rolling with a pair of dual meets over the weekend. The Wasps visited Catawba College on Friday evening, followed by a trip to Mars Hill University on Saturday morning.
Friday's Basics

The Men
- Sophomore Owen Seymour (Signal Mountain, Tenn.) took third in the 50-yard freestyle at :22.43 while freshman Noah Day (Milton, Fla.) was third in the 100-free (:49.35).
- Freshman Peter Davis (Manassas, Va.) touched third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.25 with freshman Ryan Teuton (Chattanooga, Tenn.) also placing third in the 400-yard individual medley (4:36.65).
- The Wasps' 400-yard medley relays were second (3:41.54) and third (4:12.74) as the 400-yard freestyle relay took second in 3:32.91.
The Women
- Sophomore Samantha Pepevnik (Porsgrunn, NORWAY) was the runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:01.85 and placed third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.20.
- In the 50-yard freestyle, junior Hope Christensen (Moroni, Utah) placed third with a time of :25.20 as sophomore Mackenzie Barnett (Monroe Township, N.J.) took third in the 100-free (:56.00).
- Junior Paige Gelenski (Boca Raton, Fla.) swam a 4:59.37 in the 400-yard individual medley which was good for third while sophomore Gabby Sadosky (Las Vegas, Nev.) was also third in the 1,000-free (12:00.25).
- E&H placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:01.39 and was second in the 400-yard medley relay at 4:13.46.
Saturday's Basics

The Men
- Teuton tallied a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke at :57.25 while Seymour was third in :58.07. Day turned in a runner-up performance in the 200-free at 1:52.77 while Teuton was third at 1:52.88.
- Junior Corey Kidd (Stockbridge, Ga.) placed second in the 50-free, touching the wall at :22.43 as sophomore Caleb Patton (Marion, Va.) was the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:38.55.
- Sophomore Jordan Krafft (Waxhaw, N.C.) was third in both the distance events, swimming a 5:50.25 in the 500-free and a 20:10.15 in the 1,650-free.
- In the 100-yard butterfly, Day was third at :55.37 with junior Kyle Berry (Ringgold, Ga.) placing third in the 100-yard freestyle (:53.03).
- The Wasps went a 3:40.51 in the 400-medley relay to place second and were third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:37.41).
The Women
- The Wasps started the day with a win in the 400-yard medley relay at 4:15.09.
- Barnett picked up a pair of wins in the distance events, going a 19:07.83 in the 1,650-free and covered the 500-free in 5:29.91.
- Pepevnik won the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:54.19 and was second in the 500-free (5:42.62) while Christensen won the 100-free (:56.12) and went a 1:12.97 in the 100-yard breaststroke to place second.
- Gelenski turned in a pair of runner-up finishes in the 50-yard freestyle at :27.69 and the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.91). Freshman Bella Cress (Gibsonville, N.C.) won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.75 with freshman Jaxon Thurman (Ooltewah, Tenn.) touching second (1:12.47).
- Sadosky was second in the 100-yard freestyle at :58.87 while sophomore Jill Koler (Manassas, Va.) was third in the 50-free at :27.75.
- Sophomore Maggie Robinson (Canton, Ga.) placed third in the 200-free 2:15.00 with junior Rachel Ritter (Gibsonville, N.C.) going a 1:13.59 in the 100-yard breaststroke for third as well.
- E&H completed the meet, going 2-3 in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 1:46.89 and 1:59.96, respectively.
