KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Swimming Team competed in the King Early Season Invitational for the third year in a row over the weekend, finishing seventh as a team. The meet was contested as a timed finals event.

The Results
- Event 2 – 200-Yard Freestyle Relay – The relay of sophomore Ryan Teuton (Chattanooga, Tenn.), junior Caleb Patton (Marion, Va.), freshman Ethan Veselik (Marion, Va.) and senior Corey Kidd (Stockbridge, Ga.) swam a 1:33.74 to finish ninth.
- Event 4 – 500-Yard Freestyle – Junior Jordan Krafft (Waxhaw, N.C.) placed 13th with a time of 5:31.05 while freshman Benson Huntley, Jr. (Lakeland, Fla.) was 14th in 5:34.11, Veselik was 15th (5:49.43) and freshman Ian Shirk (Black Mountain, N.C.) was 17th (6:11.83).
- Event 6 – 200-Yard Individual Medley – Teuton posted a 10th-place finish at 2:03.87 while Patton was 13th in 2:06.89.
- Event 8 – 50-Yard Freestyle – Kidd was fifth, swimming a 21.44 seconds while Veselik placed 34th in 26.94 seconds.
- Event 10 – 400-Yard Medley Relay – Teuton, Patton, Kidd and Huntley swam a 3:47.91 to take eighth.
- Event 12 – 400-Yard Individual Medley – Patton cracked the top 10, finishing ninth as he touched the wall in 4:33.94. Krafft was 15th (5:03.27) while Shirk was 16th (5:43.77).
- Event 14 – 100-Yard Breaststroke – Teuton was 17th as he turned in a 1:06.08.
- Event 16 – 100-Yard Butterfly – Kidd placed eighth in 53.47 seconds.
- Event 18 – 200-Yard Freestyle – Kidd finished in a tie for 12th at 1:50.68 while Patton was 24th (1:55.68), Krafft was 33rd (2:03.00), Veselik was 40th (2:08.56) and Shirk was 42nd (2:17.75).
- Event 20 – 100-Yard Backstroke – Teuton stopped the watches in 54.30 seconds to take ninth while Huntley was 30th in 1:01.65.
- Event 22 – 200-Yard Medley Relay – Veselik, Shirk, Krafft and Huntley were 20th in 2:01.64.
- Event 24 – 200-Yard Backstroke – Huntley finished 19th in 2:19.45.
- Event 26 – 100-Yard Freestyle – Kidd took 10th place with a swim of 48.18 seconds while Teuton was 26th (:50.37) and Veselik was 51st (:57.91).
- Event 28 – 200-Yard Breaststroke – Patton placed 13th, swimming a 2:25.55.
- Event 30 – 200-Yard Butterfly – Krafft placed 16th with a time of 2:26.98 while Shirk was 17th in 2:50.84.
- Event 32 – 100-Yard Individual Medley – Huntley was 35th as he swam a 1:08.55.
- Event 34 – 400-Yard Freestyle Relay – Kidd, Huntley, Teuton and Patton placed 15th with a performance of 3:25.64.
