Salisbury Men's Tennis Upends Emory & Henry, 7-2, Wednesday

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University Men's Tennis Team (3-5) picked up a 7-2 win over Emory & Henry College (13-4) Wednesday afternoon to snap the Wasps' eight-match win streak. The Seagulls are currently ranked number 13 in the Atlantic South Region by the ITA.

Salisbury got out to a 2-1 win after the doubles portion of the match. E&H seniors Chip Wintringham (Burlington, N.C.) and Mike Young (Lawrenceville, Ga.) got an 8-4 win at number two doubles.

The Seagulls completed the win during singles play. Junior Adam Henderson (Abingdon, Va.) got the lone win for the Wasps at number three singles (6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 1-0 (10-7)).

Emory & Henry will return home for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest against Bridgewater College. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
