No. 22 Washington and Lee Men’s Tennis Defeats Emory & Henry, 8-1, Tuesday

EMORY, Va. – The No. 22 Washington and Lee University Men's Tennis Team (8-2, 7-0 ODAC) claimed an 8-1 win over Emory & Henry College (2-8, 0-3 ODAC) in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action at Richardson Tennis Courts Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Alex Minasyan (Moscow, RUSSIA) earned the lone point of the match for the Wasps, defeating the Generals' Michael Holt (1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8)) at the premier singles pairing.

Minasyan teamed up with freshman John Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) for the No. 1 doubles flight, nearly getting another point for E&H, but falling, 9-8 (7-3).

Emory & Henry will be on the road Sunday when it travels to Winchester, Va., for an ODAC matchup with Shenandoah University. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
