Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Competes In ITA South Regional Championship Over The Weekend

ATLANTA, Ga. – Four members of the Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team continued the fall portion of competition over the weekend at the ITA South Regional Championship. The event was hosted on the campus of Emory University.

Junior Alex Minasyan (Moscow, RUSSIA) and sophomore John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) led the way for Emory & Henry as they teamed up for a 1-1 record in the Main Doubles Draw. The duo defeated Ben Hirsch and C.J. Antonio of Oglethorpe in the first round before falling to the Emory team of David Omsky and Eric Brinzenskiy.

In the B Singles Draw, freshman Alex Polydoroff (Falcon Heights, Minn.) responded after losing his first match of the day by advancing to the final of the consolation bracket. He picked up wins over Averett University's Rustan Aliev and Drew Cantrell from LaGrange College.

Emory & Henry will complete the fall portion of its schedule on Friday when it travels to Ferrum College for a 4:00 p.m. match with the Panthers.
