Bristol, Tenn. - The Emory & Henry men's tennis team (1-10, 0-6 ODAC) dropped another ODAC Saturday afternoon to Virginia Wesleyan College (10-5, 5-0 ODAC). The Wasps played in at Bristol Racquet & Fitness Club in Bristol, Tennessee due to cold weather.
The Wasps started with a tough matchup at one doubles on Saturday. John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) and Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) took a tough 9-7 loss. At two doubles, Kamil Aliev (Moscow, RUSSIA) and Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) went down 8-1. Liam Davidson (Newport News, Va.) and James Watson-Dare (Charlotte, N.C.) were blanked 8-0 at three doubles.
Due to time, the Wasps played the Marlins to completion. At three singles, Funkhouser lost, 6-2, 6-0. McClung unfortuantely was shut out, 6-0, 6-0.
The Wasps next matchup is Sunday, April 10th versus Randolph-Macon College at home. The match is set to start at 12:30 pm.
