Bristol, Tenn. - The No. 25 Washington and Lee men's tennis (12-7, 9-1 ODAC) team quickly dispatched the E&H men's team (1-14, 0-9 ODAC) Saturday afternoon at the Bristol Racquet and Fitness Club. The team played to a 5-0 completion due to weather and time constraints. The loss is the teams 13th straight in the year.
Kamil Aliev (Moscow, RUSSIA) and Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) took an 8-0 loss at one doubles. While at two doubles, John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) and Liam Davidson (Newport News, Va.) fell, 8-1. Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) and James Watson-Dare (Charlotte, N.C.) played at three doubles, but lost, 8-0.
Only two singles matches finished before the Generals defeated the Wasps. At two singles, Aliev lost, 6-0, 6-1. And at five singles, McClung went down, 6-1, 6-0.
Both the men and women play in their final regular season matches tomorrow versus Bridgewater at home at 2 p.m.
