Emory & Henry Men's Tennis Loses Final Match of the Season to Bridgewater, 9-0

Emory, Va. - The Emory & Henry men's tennis (1-15, 0-10 ODAC) season came to an end Sunday afternoon in a 9-0 loss to Bridgewater College (9-9 8-2 ODAC).

In one doubles, John Dalton Ferguson (Gate City, Va.) and Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) took an 8-2 loss.  The two doubles team also took an 8-2 loss on the day.  At three doubles, James Watson-Dare (Charlotte, N.C.) and Jared Carter (Gate City, Va.) lost, 8-0.

Ferguson fell at one singles, 6-3, 6-4, while Kamil Aliev (Moscow, RUSSIA) lost 7-6, 6-3 at two singles.  Funkhouser was defeated, 6-1, 6-2, at three singles.  Liam Davidson (Newport News, Va.) went down in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at four singles.  Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) stumbled at five singles, losing, 6-2, 6-1.  Watson-Dare played in a good matchup, but ultimately lost, 6-2, 6-2.
