Wasps Fall To No. 38 Washington and Lee Generals, 9-0, Friday Afternoon

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (1-5, 0-1 ODAC) dropped their first ODAC match of the season to the Number 38 ranked Generals of Washington and Lee (7-2, 5-0 ODAC). The match was the Wasps fifth consecutive loss on the year.

Doubles
-Dalton Shipley (Gate City, Va.) and Luke Funkhouser (Gate City, Va.) lost at one singles, 8-1.
-Andrew McClung (Roanoke, Va.) and Liam Davidson (Newport News, Va.)were swept at two doubles, 8-0.
-Jared Carter (Gate City, Va.) and James Watson-Dare (Charlotte, N.C.) were also blanked 8-0 at three doubles.

Singles
-Funkhouser played in his first match at one singles today, but ultimately fell 6-0, 6-1.
-Shipley was beat, 6-0, 6-0, at two singles.
-Davidson saw the same fate as Shipley at three singles.
-Watson-Dare was only able to muster one win, losing 6-1, 6-0.
-At five singles, McClung took a 6-0, 6-0 loss.
-Carter also lost 6-0, 6-0 at six singles

-The Wasps next match will be against LaGrange on March 17.
