How It Happened
E&H got the match started by sweeping doubles to earn the first point. Senior Tyler Wills (Rochelle, Va.) and freshman Alvaro Garcia (Madrid, SPAIN) won by a 6-0 score at No. 3. Senior Archer Marlow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and freshman Juan Alvarez (Metepec, MEXICO) grabbed a 6-1 victory at the first pairing while senior Brandon McGuire (Christiansburg, Va.) and freshman Corey Garrity (Spartanburg, S.C.) claimed a 6-2 victory at No. 2.

In singles action, Alvarez and Garrity won by 6-0, 6-0 scores at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Garcia grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 while Marlow won, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2. At the premier pairing, McGuire earned a 6-3, 6-3 win while Wills had a 6-4, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 6.
