How It Happened
E&H earned the first point of the match by sweeping doubles. Senior Brandon McGuire (Christiansburg, Va.) and freshman Corey Garrity (Spartanburg, S.C.) grabbed a 6-0 win at No. 2 to highlight the segment. Senior Tyler Wills (Rochelle, Va.) and freshman Alvaro Garcia (Madrid, SPAIN) won, 6-1, at No. 3 and senior Archer Marlow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and freshman Juan Alvarez (Metepec, MEXICO) grabbed a 6-3 decision at No. 1.

In singles, the Wasps won all six matches to complete the 7-0 victory. Wills picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6 while Alvarez won, 6-1 6-1, at No. 3. McGuire and Marlow won in straight sets at the first and second flights, respectively while Garrity and Garcia claimed their victories with a 10-point third set tiebreak.
