EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (11-6) ran its winning streak to seven matches with a 6-1 victory over Bluefield University (0-8) Thursday afternoon.

How It Happened
E&H started the match with a 2-0 lead as the fifth and sixth singles flights were left unfilled by the Rams. In doubles, the Wasps earned the point as senior Archer Marlow (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) and freshman Juan Alvarez (Metepec, MEXICO) won 6-3 at No. 1, senior Brandon McGuire (Christiansburg, Va.) and freshman Corey Garrity (Spartanburg, S.C.) took a 6-2 victory at No. 2 and senior Tyler Wills (Rochelle, Va.) and Alvaro Garcia (Madrid, SPAIN) won by default at No. 3.

Alvarez picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles while Garrity dropped only one game - 6-0, 6-1 - at No. 4. Marlow also earned a victory at the second singles flight - 6-1, 6-4.
