EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (2-1) earned a 5-2 win over border rival King (Tenn.) University (0-2) Monday afternoon at home.

How It Happened
- Emory & Henry started the match with a 2-0 lead after King defaulted the No. 5 and No. 6 singles flights.
- In doubles action, E&H started won at No. 2 by a 7-6 score on the efforts of freshman Diego Alvarez (Bogotá, COLOMBIA) and sophomore Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.). With King's default at No. 3 doubles, E&H pushed its advantage to 3-0 with the doubles point.
- In singles, the Wasps captured the match as freshman Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) won by a 6-0, 6-2 margin at No. 3 and sophomore Juan Alvarez (Metepec, MEXICO) claimed a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 4.
