EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (4-10, 0-7 SAC) and Women's Tennis Team (4-8, 0-7 SAC) fell to Coker University in South Atlantic Conference play on Friday afternoon. The Cobras' men's team won 6-1 while the women's squad took a 5-2 decision.

Men's Match
- The No. 1 doubles team of freshman Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) and sophomore Juan Alvarez (Metepec, MEXICO) picked up a win by a 6-3 score, but Coker won the other two matches and took the doubles point.
- Parhar dispatched his opponent in straight sets by a 6-1, 6-3 margin.
- Sophomore Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.) battled back to win the second set after dropping his opener but came up just short in the decisive third frame as he fell 2-6, 6-2, 5-7.
- Freshman Diego Alvarez (Bogota, COLOMBIA) took the opening set but lost the final two to fall 6-4, 0-6, 1-6.
Women's Match
- The Cobras swept the doubles portion of the match to go ahead 1-0.
- Junior Emma Charlton (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENGLAND) won her match at No. 2 singles by a comfortable 6-4, 6-2 score.
- Freshman Natalie Bergmann (Forest Hills, N.Y.) won a tough three-set affair by a 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 scoreline at the No. 4 singles position.
