Emory & Henry Men’s Tennis Drops A Pair Of Matches To North Greenville And Limestone

TIGERVILLE, S.C./GAFFNEY, S.C. - The Emory & Henry College Men's Tennis Team (2-13, 0-7 SAC) dropped a pair of matches to North Greenville University (3-8) and Limestone University (7-7, 4-4 SAC) Friday and Saturday afternoon. The Wasps fell to the Crusaders by a 5-2 margin and to the Saints by a 6-1 final score

The North Greenville Match
- The doubles team of sophomore Kartik Parhar (Ludhiana, INDIA) and freshman Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) won 6-4 at No. 1 singles, while the partnership of sophomores Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) and Diego Alvarez (Bogota, COLOMBIA) defeated their opponents at No. 3 singles to clinch the point and give E&H the 1-0 lead.
- Parhar topped Christo Timini by a 6-3, 6-2 score at No. 1 singles.
- Junior Branson Smith (Fletcher, N.C.) battled all afternoon at the No. 2 singles position, but came up short 5-7, 6-7 (9-11) to Joao Silva.
- Freshman Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) fell in three sets to Will Hernandez at No. 4 singles 1-6, 7-5, 0-1 (7-10).

The Limestone Match
- The duo of Smith and Bayliss defeated Berthelemy Bourdon and Ramiro Hernandez by a 6-3 margin at No. 3 singles, but Limestone took the other two doubles matches to jump ahead 1-0.
- Parhar dispatched Louca Bertone at No. 1 singles in three sets by a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5) final score.
- Smith fell 4-6, 3-6 to Rodolfo Villavicencio at No. 2 singles.
- Naedele dropped a 3-6, 2-6 decision to Andre Zamorano at No. 3 singles.
