HICKORY, N.C. - The Emory & Henry University Men's Tennis Team (1-4, 0-2 SAC) and Women's Tennis Team (1-4, 0-2 SAC) fell on the road in South Atlantic Conference play to Lenoir-Rhyne University Thursday. The Bears earned both wins by a 4-0 scoreline.

Men's Match
- The Bears earned wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions to take the doubles point and an early 1-0 lead.
- Sophomore Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) was trailing 5-7 to Nevio Dux in the No. 1 singles position when the match was left unfinished.
- Freshman Leo Knothe (Hanover, GERMANY) fell 1-6, 0-6 to Rufus Plane at No. 2 singles.
- Sophomore Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) was down 1-6, 0-4 to Zachary Cox at No. 3 singles when his match was left unfinished.
- Junior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) dropped his match against Vadym Rogynski by a 6-1, 6-0 margin at No. 4 singles.
- Junior Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) trailed Burke Rosenbaum 2-6, 0-3 at the No. 5 singles spot when the match was left unfinished.
- Junior Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) was defeated 2-6, 0-6 by Raphael Champaud at No. 6 singles.

Women's Match
- Lenoir-Rhyne was victorious at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to take the doubles point and jump ahead 1-0. Freshmen Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) and Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) led 4-1 at No. 1 doubles when the match was left unfinished.
- Sesma was down to Runa Muderrisoglu 2-6, 0-3 at No. 1 singles when the match was left unfinished.
- Kovacs dropped a 0-6, 0-6 decision to Nellie Wahlberg at the No. 2 singles spot.
- Junior Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) trailed Esther Magnusson 0-6, 2-3 at No. 3 singles when the match was called.
- Sophomore Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) led Enrica Favaron 5-4 at No. 4 singles when their match was left unfinished.
- Sophomore Karlie Quinn (Mocksville, N.C.) fell to Natalie Howell at NO. 5 singles by a 0-6, 1-6 scoreline.
- Sophomore Meghan Moore (Midlothian, Va.) was downed 0-6, 0-6 by Johanne Selde at the No. 6 singles position.
