
EMORY, Va. - The Emory & Henry University Women's Tennis Team (2-8, 1-5 SAC) and Men's Tennis Team (1-9, 0-6 SAC) each fell at home to Coker University in South Atlantic Conference play Friday afternoon. The Cobras dispatched the Wasps by a pair of 4-0 final scores.

Men's Match
- The doubles partnership of sophomore Niclas Naedele (Munich, GERMANY) and freshman Leo Knothe (Hanover, GERMANY) defeated Samuel Winter and Joao Casas by a 6-4 scoreline at No. 1 doubles. The Cobras took the other two doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead.
- Naedele fell to Sharif Vossen by a 6-7 (4-7), 3-6 margin at No. 1 singles.
- Knothe dropped a 2-6, 0-6 decision to Winter at No. 2 singles.
- Sophomore Will Bayliss (Totland, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND) took the first set 6-4 and was leading Andy Huynh 4-3 in the second set when their No. 3 singles match was left unfinished.
- Junior Tristan Hicks (Abingdon, Va.) was defeated 4-6, 2-6 by Benedikt Wittman at the No. 4 singles position.
- Junior Nathan Spurling (Abingdon, Va.) trailed Joao Pugliese 6-7 (2-7), 2-1 at No. 5 singles, but the match was unfinished.
- Junior Keenan Glago (Harrisonburg, Va.) split a pair of sets 6-4, 3-6 against Jacob Warren at No. 6 singles.
Women's Match
- The No. 44 Cobras took wins at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 doubles to jump ahead by the 1-0 margin.
- Senior Sabina Chernega (Odesa, UKRAINE) was defeated 0-6, 1-6 by Jade Bellegy at No. 1 singles.
- Freshman Tahnne Sesma (Zumaia, SPAIN) trailed Emerson Banning 4-6, 2-5 when their No. 2 singles match was abandoned.
- Freshman Ellyson Kovacs (Bristol, Tenn.) was down 2-6, 1-4 to Salome Sierra at No. 3 singles when the match was left unfinished.
- Junior Nina Williams (Fleet, ENGLAND) won the opening set 6-4 and was leading 4-2 in the second set against Tamara Macias, but the match was unfinished.
- Sophomore Olivia Pursley (Hendersonville, N.C.) dropped a tough 5-7, 2-6 decision to Olivia Drake at No. 5 singles.
- Sophomore Karlie Quinn (Mocksville, N.C.) fell 3-6, 3-6 to Rachel Grove at No. 6 singles.
