
SALEM, Va. – The Emory & Henry College Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams capped the indoor season on Sunday at the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Roanoke College. The men's team tied for eighth place while the women finished 10th.

The Men
- The Wasps placed three throwers in the top four of the shot put with junior Justin Fannon (Abingdon, Va.) finishing as the ODAC Runner-Up (14.35m). Freshman Edward Rajner (Bainbridge, N.Y.) was third at 14.12 meters while junior Trel Phillips (Ooltewah, Tenn.) took fourth (13.45m).
- In the distance medley relay, the Wasps took eighth (11:57.24) too set a new school record on the efforts of sophomore Jackson Kaze (Midlothian, Va.), junior Colt Pierce (Lockhart, Texas), sophomore Conor White (Warrenton, Va.) and freshman Lucas Biggerstaff (Knoxville, Tenn.).
- Senior Jordan Powers (Chilhowie, Va.) established the school record in the high jump, clearing 1.76 meters to finish 13th.
- White took 15th in the 800 meters on a new school record time of 2:07.84.
- The 4x400 meter relay of sophomore Markell Moss (Wytheville, Va.), White, Kaze and Pierce finished ninth to earn a new program best of 3:46.89.
The Women
- E&H started the day with a seventh-place finish in the distance medley relay of 14:49.06. Sophomore Alette McGuire (Chesapeake, Va.), junior Graysen Barrs (Abingdon, Va.), freshman Maria Hatch (Emory, Va.) and junior Erica Grupp (Charlottesville, Va.) comprised the relay.
- Barrs finished 15th in the 60 meters with a new school record of :08.50.
- Freshman Lorin Zehr (Holly Pond, Ala.) took 17th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.38 meters for another program best.
The Awards
- Washington and Lee University won the men's title while the University of Lynchburg women cruised to their championship.
