Emory & Henry Throwers Compete At Aggie Track & Field Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Emory & Henry College Track & Field Teams saw their weekend cut short by the thunderstorms that passed through the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina Saturday. The Wasps were only able to complete the men's hammer throw and the men's shot put before weather conditions deteriorated and the meet entered in to an extended delay.

The Results
Friday afternoon, freshman Edward Rajner (Bainbridge, N.Y.) established a school record for the hammer throw at 35.14 meters, finishing 16th overall.

On Saturday, the Wasps placed four throwers in the top 15 with junior Trel Phillips (Ooltewah, Tenn.) taking sixth (13.38m). Junior Justin Fannon (Abingdon, Va.) was eighth and Rajner was 10th at 13.07 and 12.89 meters, respectively. Freshman Brody Fields (Pulaski, Va.) took 14th at 12.15 meters.

Up Next
Emory & Henry will conclude the 2019 season this weekend when it competes in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships. Randolph College will serve as this year's host.
