ROCK HILL, S.C. – Emory & Henry University junior Gavin Lee has been selected at the South Atlantic Conference Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, SAC officials announced Tuesday. This year, the SAC Players of the Week are being sponsored by WePlayed Sports. This is the second week in a row that an E&H field athlete has won weekly honors from the league.

It is the second time in Lee's career that he has been named SAC Field Athlete of the Week as he earned outdoor honors on April 25, 2023.

The North Tazewell, Virginia native won the weight throw with a school-record throw of 17.94 meters at the JDL Last Chance Invitational on Saturday. That mark is currently the 46th-best in NCAA Division II.

Emory & Henry will enter the postseason on Saturday when it begins the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. The two-day meet will be hosted by JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
