
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Track & Field Team has seen two of its members named to the NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Outdoor Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The awards are given to the top-five individuals in each event from each of the country's eight regions, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams.
Emory & Henry saw junior Gavin Lee (North Tazewell, Va.) selected in the hammer throw and sophomore Barlowe Branch, III (Petersburg, Va.) honored for his accomplishments in the 400 meter hurdles over the course of the season.
Lee had the second-best mark in the region, a school-record throw of 59.54 meters at the South Atlantic Conference Championships to take the league title. It was his second conference championship in the event in three years.
Branch was third in the region with a time of 53.36 seconds at the SAC Championships, finishing as the conference runner-up. His record-breaking performance earned him All-SAC Second-Team accolades.
