
NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Cross Country Team entered the postseason on Saturday, finishing fifth at the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Championships. The meet took place at The Farm Cross Country Course in Newberry, South Carolina, and was hosted by Newberry College.

- Senior Matthew Klapak (Zion Crossroads, Va.) claimed 32nd place as Emory & Henry's top finisher in 26:00 while junior Miles Baldwin (Willis, Va.) was 36th in 26:33.
- Junior Samuel Tindall (Fort Defiance, Va.) ran a 26:35 to take 37th while sophomore Davis Norman (Salem, Va.) was 38th, clocking a 26:45. Sophomore Hillis Roberson, IV (Rosenburg, Texas) rounded out E&H's scorers in 41st (26:58).
- Freshman Donald Mullins, Jr. (Vinton, Va.) placed 60th, junior Tommy Henzey, IV (Salem, Va.) was 63rd, junior Justin Owens (Grundy, Va.) was 66th, sophomore Leo Mantoan (Woodbridge, Va.) was 67th and senior Aaron Wilson (Chester, Va.) was 79th.
The Winners
- Wingate University's Will Aitken won medalist honors covering the course in 23:46, beating teammate Joaquin Campos by six seconds.
- The Bulldogs made it four-straight SAC titles with a near-perfect score, claiming four of the top five positions. Anderson University was the team runner-up, placing its five scoring runners in the top 17.

- Emory & Henry will next compete at the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship on Saturday, November 9. The meet will take place at Milliken Research Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina, hosted by Converse University.
