LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Emory & Henry College Softball Team has seen senior Caley Hodge (Elizabethton, Tenn.) named to the 2018 Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Atlantic Region Team. NFCA is the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. It marks the second year in a row that E&H has seen a player named to the all-region team.

Hodge becomes just the second player in program history to earn multiple All-Atlantic accolades and also is the second Wasp to be named All-ODAC in each of her four seasons.

The career home run leader for E&H with 32 round-trippers, Hodge hit .363 this year with a team-leading 20 walks and .453 on-base and .615 slugging percentages. She also scored a team-best 39 runs with six home runs, 12 doubles, 36 RBI and 10 stolen bases.

Last season, Hodge was named to the all-region second team alongside Emily Kendrick while Danielle Loving was tabbed to the All-Atlantic Third Team.

Emory & Henry recorded a 31-14 overall record this year and finished as the runner-up in the ODAC Tournament for the second season in a row. The Wasps went 9-9 during the conference regular season, finishing in fifth place and were ranked ninth in the final NCAA Division III regional rankings of the season.
