FOREST, Va. - Emory & Henry College's Leanna Toler has been selected as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week, ODAC officials announced Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season that a Wasp has earned weekly league honors.

The junior shortstop from Abingdon, Virginia led E&H to a 4-2 week last week batting .632 (12-for-19) with nine runs, nine RBI, four walks and four stolen bases. She tallied an even 1.000 slugging percentage and a .696 on-base average and hit a pair of home runs.

Toler put up four multi-hit games on the week with two three-hit performances Randolph-Macon College on Sunday and one against Southern Virginia University Tuesday. She finished game two against the Yellow Jackets going three-for-five with two runs and four RBI, all coming on a grand slam which put the Wasps ahead for good on their way to the sweep.

The transfer from Longwood University also tallied a solo shot in game one against RMC, going three-for-three with three runs scored and two RBI. She stole three bases on a two-for-three outing in game one against SVU and followed it up with a 3-for-4 performance with three runs.

Toler also showed success on Saturday against No. 2 Virginia Wesleyan University, reaching base in all three of her appearances in game one with a hit, two walks, a stolen base and a run scored.

For the year, Toler is batting .368 with 18 runs scored, 19 RBI, 11 walks, 11 stolen bases and four home runs. She boasts a .443 on-base percentage and a slugging average of .592.
