ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Softball Team has seen four of its players earn All-South Atlantic Conference honors, league officials announced Thursday. It is the most All-SAC performers in school history and the most all-conference award-winners since four Wasps were named to the All-ODAC team in 2021.

Senior right fielder Danielle King (Spencer, Va.), senior first baseman Lydia Taylor (Salem, Va.), junior pitcher Malorie Reeves (Galax, Va.) and freshman catcher/third baseman Hannah Booth (Longwood, Fla.) were each named to the All-SAC Third Team by the league's 13 head coaches.

King makes it back-to-back all-league seasons after being picked to the Second Team a year ago in the utility/non-pitcher spot. She hit .414 for the year with a .500 on-base percentage and a .711 slugging average, leading the team with 55 runs, 26 walks, and 25 extra-base hits. She finished second on the squad in average, and on-base percentage and added  63 hits, 15 home runs and 10 home runs and six stolen bases.

Taylor batted .372 with a .457 on-base percentage and a team-leading .814 slugging average. She hit a team-leading 15 home runs to tie her own single-season record for a career-best 49 round-trippers. She led the Wasps with 53 RBI as she scored 30 runs on 42 hits and 21 walks. The senior reached base safely in 22 of the final 24 games of the regular season.

Booth notched a team-best .472 batting average and a .730 slugging percentage as she broke out after missing the first half of the season with an injury. She tied for fifth in total hits (42) with five doubles and six home runs as she drove in 24 runs and scored 17 times. The freshman also had a 13-game on-base streak between March 12 and April 2.

Reeves led Emory & Henry in the circle with a 19-12 record with 22 complete games in 28 starts. She threw 175.2 innings with a 3.79 earned run average, striking out 113 with a 3.05 K/BB ratio and a 1.55 WHIP. The junior had 11 games with five or more strikeouts and won six straight league contests between April 2 and April 12.

Emory & Henry finished the regular season with a 31-19 overall record, going 12-12 in SAC games to finish in a tie for seventh place in the league standings. The Wasps have posted their first 30-win campaign as a NCAA Division II institution and are tied for the third-most wins in a season in program history.
