ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon College Women's Basketball Team (13-12, 8-8 ODAC) jumped out to a 22-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back as it defeated Emory & Henry College (18-7, 11-5 ODAC) by a 92-61 score at Crenshaw Gymnasium Saturday afternoon. The contest wrapped up the regular season for both squads as they now look to the ODAC Tournament, which begins on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets shot 50.9 percent (29-for-57) from the field in the game and hit 28-of-33 (84.8%) of their free throw attempts. E&H managed just 37.3 shooting (25-for-67), and only reached the free throw line 18 times (7-for-18; 38.9%) on the afternoon.

Randolph-Macon was led by Katie Anderson's double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds as she shot nine-for-12 from the field and hit all eight of her free throws. Lauren Vugteveen also had a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards, adding a pair of blocks. Hannah Livermon contributed 18 points, hitting four three's, and four assists while Kelsey Wisner tacked on 12 points off the bench.

R-MC held a 36-32 advantage on points in the paint and dominated the boards 47-33. The Jackets also notched a 19-9 lead on points off turnovers, despite committing 13 miscues to 11 for the Wasps.

Emory & Henry was paced by senior forward Karina Farr (Graham, Wash.) with 12 points and four rebounds. Senior forward Tamara Brewster (Morrow, Ga.) had 10 points and three rebounds while freshman guard Taylor Blevins (Abingdon, Va.) added nine points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Junior guard Megan Jacoby (Richmond, Va.) had six points, four rebounds and three steals and sophomore guard Chloe Harris (Bristol, Va.) chipped in eight points.

The Wasps got 15 second-chance points thanks to 14 offensive rebounds in the game, six of which came from Blevins. E&H was also cold from long range, connecting on just 20 percent (4-for-20) of its attempts from beyond the arc.

With a third-place finish in the ODAC regular season and a tiebreaker win over Washington and Lee, Emory & Henry has earned the #3 seed in next week's conference tournament. With that seed, the Wasps receive a bye to the quarterfinals where they will take on the winner of the #6 Bridgewater-#11 Randolph game. Tipoff for that quarterfinal matchup will be on Thursday at 8:00 p.m., at the Salem Civic Center.
