TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Emory & Henry College Women's Basketball Team has seen one of its players named to the NCAA Division III CoSIDA Academic All-District V Team, CoSIDA officials announced Thursday. CoSIDA is the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Junior forward Taylor Blevins (Abingdon, Va.), one of four players from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference to be selected to this year's team, is now eligible for Academic All-America® honors. She is the first Wasp to be recognized by CoSIDA since the 2013-14 season when then-senior Kristie Langley earned back-to-back Academic All-District accolades.

Blevins, a graduate of Abingdon High School, is averaging 12.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals through 26 games this season. She has led the Wasps to the ODAC Tournament Semifinals for the fourth year in a row and scored in double figures in 17 contests over the season. She put up a season-high 21 points at Randolph-Macon College on February 3 and has season-bests of 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Blevins is a 3.91 student, majoring in biology. Emory & Henry is currently 21-5 on the year and finished first in the ODAC Regular Season.

CoSIDA's Academic All-America® program has recognized student-athletes for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom since 1952. CoSIDA members nominate and vote for the selection of Academic All-District and All-America performers in 12 sport categories across all divisions of college athletics.
